Food Hampers for Ukraine Campaign

His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk, Major Archbishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church has issued an Emergency Project Proposal to supply food packages for the people at the frontline territories in the East and South Ukraine.  There is an overwhelming food shortage in Ukraine caused by the war. Plans are being made to secure funds to distribute 70,000 food packages.  Each package would cost approximately $27.00.  A full letter from His Beatitude is available by contacting the undersigned.

Bishop Budka Council #5914 has taken on the responsibility to promote this project in Regina and the surrounding area and to those in the rest of the province.  Due to some logistics in donating money directly to Ukraine at this time, the Knights will work with the Ukrainian Sisters of St. Joseph’s of Saskatoon to purchase the food and distribute it in the East as they are currently doing. The pictures included in this handout were taken on March 4, 2024, as the Sisters were in Ukraine serving those in need.
