On our KofCsask.com website are many helping ideas and guides to help you with your Church drives. although we are moving in the wrong direction with this virus, we still have to recruit and maintain the effectiveness of our Councils with our Charitable works.
It goes without saying, that we are an important part of our Church and Family as well as an integral part of the Community.
Blessed Michael McGivney did not let a pandemic stop him and neither should we. Just follow his example. Small steps with the help of others, move mountains and we have to increase our membership for the benefit of our Order.
Starting next weekend on the 25th of September, our WRTD and AWRGD Shawn Veters will be in Regina to give us 5 days of training.
The schedule is below:
Arrive in Regina Airport on Friday, September 24th @ 10:30 AM SK time
Depart Regina Airport on Thursday, September 30th @ 7:00 AM SK time
We should have our Councils participate to the fullest while we are fortunate to have Shawn with us. Even if we only get a few guys to have a coffee with him, we are gaining knowledge and something we can pass on to the Council. Let’s not waste this opportunity with WRTD Shawn. Also, don’t forget the big “For Members” tab on the KofC.org website for answers to all your questions. If you can’t find what you are looking for, give me a call and we will find it together.
On another note, with this pandemic and the masking of all parishioners once again, Church recruitment will be a bit more difficult, but no reason to not do this. Think outside the box and place membership cards on the windshields of the cars in the parking lot. Place the Free membership cards in the doors of any and all the cars with Rosaries hanging from the windshield mirror.
There are many good things to do, Brothers and I am sure you have ideas of your own. Let’s not forget to get our forms in and do what we do best, ” Do for those in need and those that can not do for themselves.”
