Special Olympics Report – December 2019

Special Olympics Saskatchewan would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the Knights of Columbus. Your tremendous support over this past year has helped us raise funds and awareness for athletes across our province with an intellectual disability. We greatly appreciate the time and dedication given in order to make a difference in the lives of the over 1,200 Special Olympics Saskatchewan athletes.

Up next, we will have 66 athletes and coaches travelling to Thunder Bay to compete in the Special Olympics National Games. Saskatchewan will have athlete representation in the sports of 5 pin bowling, alpine ski, curling, cross country ski, figure skating, floor hockey, snowshoeing and speed skating. The National Games will take place from February 25th – 29th. The month of February will also be host to the Special Olympics Saskatchewan 4th Annual Polar Plunge fundraiser, which will take place on February 17th in Regina. For more details about the Polar Plunge visit skpolarplunge.ca

If you are interested in getting involved with future fundraisers or events, please contact our office at 306-780-9406.
