February 2, 2024, the Church celebrates the feast of the Presentation of the Lord which occurs forty days after the birth of Jesus and is also known as Candlemas Day, since the blessing and procession of candles is included in today’s liturgy. Marking the return of light, a symbol of protection and prosperity. This day commemorates the presentation of Jesus at the temple in Jerusalem, referring to him as the light of the people of Israel.
Brothers, let us all be the light Jesus intended us to be.
