Lead With Passion

Greeting Brother Knights,

I want to talk about how to Lead with Passion

Being a knight we need to show leadership at all times – as an individual person and also as a group of men. Leading with passion is about our courage to cast off our fears, doubts and limiting beliefs so that we can give those around us a sense of hope, optimism and through our leadership, accomplishment. As Knights we need to bring light into this world of uncertainty and inspire others to do the same.

This is what we call passion – the fire within us.

โ€œPassion is a heartfelt energy that flows through us, not from us.โ€

Passion fills our hearts when we allow it to, and by sharing it we can inspire other men to do the same. It is like sunshine that flows through our doorways when we open up to it — it is always there, waiting for us to be brave. We need to accept and embrace it under the right conditions, and when we do, it flows gracefully into the world around us. It is doing what we are meant to do, and we need to remind ourselves that we are meant to be purposeful and positive.

However we will only feel this when we listen to and accept our calling in life. We will feel this inspiration when we are faced with resistance and still choose to push ahead. Once we begin doing this, we will feel motivated to do whatever it takes without fear and without doubt. Our vision will become reality and we will grow in confidence because our commitment will come from our heart and soul.

We need to be leaders and open those doors to bring positive change to the world around us.

Being a Knight we already clarify our purpose, but we still need to:

Gain commitment from the heart, not just agreement from the head.
Continue creating a compelling vision to focus intention and attention.
Continue to set priorities and focus efforts on what matters most.
Always recognize and accept the power of grace.
Foster more creativity and innovation.
We need to demonstrate integrity and build trust.
Lead in a passionate example.
Generate growth in ourselves first then to others.
And awaken the spirit in work.

Please try this example at home:

Next light several candles and experience the added warmth and comfort extending from that first, vulnerable flame through others.
Light a match in a dark room and watch as the light instantly overcomes the darkness.
Observe the power and grace of that single, solitary flame dancing with life.List item

Question: What is your reflection after doing this?

Observation: This is the heart and soul of leadership, and the essence of how we inspire others. This is us being Knights, and this is our calling.

We are the flame for others, we will be the lights in time of their darkness. Thank you.
