Father Jean Marc Mireau has passed away and his funeral is this Wednesday at 10:00 am at The Cathedral of the Holy Family. He was a K of C member of the Prudhomme Council 7497 and Assembly 1065. Father Gerrard would like us to be an honour guard for him. Many of our older members will remember Father Marc from the early 1990s as he was an associate pastor at the old Holy Family Church for 3 or 4 years. If you can make it to the funeral please show up at 9:15. Hopefully we will have at least 5 or 6 of us show up.

We pray for the repose of the soul of Fr. Jean-Marc Mireau, a retired priest of our diocese known for his encouragement of vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Fr. Mireau died March 24 at the age of 80 years. His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon, with Bishop Mark Hagemoen presiding.
In a message to the diocese, Bishop Hagemoen said: “We join together in prayer for Rev. Jean-Marc Mireau, and hold in prayer the many people who are grieving his passing and who have been affected by his life and ministry over many years of his priestly service in our diocese.”
