Cultural Diversity Report – January 2020

Greetings Brother Knights,

First I want to greet you all a “Happy New Year 2020” and wishing to have a great year ahead in our Fraternal Year 2019 – 2020.

“Being a leader, it can pummel us with disappointments, challenges and maybe heartache, and our mood can easily change from light-hearted to heavy-laden.”

I’ve got a chance to talk with lots of Brother Knights around our jurisdiction, especially last Christmas vacation. Meet lots of leaders from other councils, a great opportunity to listen and hear their concerns about how they encourage more men attending their parish to join the Knights. But what struck me most and get my attention was a young leader of one council who is trying his best to give inspiration to his council and to his parish. He stood up in the challenge without fear, the character of a man, a sign of a leader and a great Knight.

Instead of giving him inspiration I am the one who got inspired by his character because he believes only through the experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.

A character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. In essence, if we want to direct our lives, our mission as a knight, we must take control of our consistent actions and faith. Because our credibility being a “KNIGHT” shapes our lives forever.

We are a man who always wants value and God created us with purpose and now being the leaders we must exercise these following principles and applied it always every day in our life, as a man, as a volunteer, as a leader and being a Knight.

  • We need to build a relationship of trust.
  • We need to lead from the front.
  • We need to give inspiration.
  • We need to manage our attitude.
  • We need to show sincere appreciation to others.
  • And we need to sell our purpose and our vision.

We need to keep moving forward, opening new doors, accept new things around us and do not worry about making a difference in our life, because this difference will make our lives better as a leader and as a person. VIVAT JESUS!
